Anyways, I'm glad you liked my poem. It was actually inspired by our neighbor.
I've noticed the Seussian meter in some of your works, although I haven't bothered to scan them to see whether it is Seuss's main meter or one of his (fairly frequent) other meters--I just noted that it reminded me of him.
I do remember scanning one of your poems several years ago because it I used it as an example of something I wanted to say in one of Jan's classes, and that particular one (if memory serves) was some other meter entirely. I remember commenting that it was a remarkable example of successfully sustaining a particular meter for a long time. (Usually, I am a fan of breaking meter deliberately for poetic effect (as per any good primer on poetry)).
Anyway, I've always enjoyed your poems, but I've never had (or taken) the opportunity to tell you.
