Getting acquainted

Postby SparrowMinistries » Fri Nov 09, 2012 8:17 pm

Hello, my name is Sondra. I have posted in the Newbie Nook to introduce myself, and now I would like to come over here and say hello as well.

I am still getting used to everything and learning my way around.

I have posted a couple of pieces for which Shann so graciously gave her feedback. I have done my revisions on one of them so far and so I am posting a link here as well with a request for critiques.

I also saw on my first day here a post from someone who was asking for writers with degrees in counseling. I was just familiarizing myself with the site and thought I would easily find my way back to that post, but when I went to look for it again I couldn't find it.

Perhaps it was removed, or maybe I just don't know where to look.

If anyone knows the wherabouts of that post and can point me to it, I will be most grateful.

Cheers,

Sondra

Hello, and welcome!

Is this the thread you're looking for?

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=35566&p=505303&hilit=writer+counseling#p505303

I found it by using the search box. If you scroll up, do you see the box that says "search"? I put "writer counselor" in the box (without quotes) and found it. Just a bit of a tip for you if you're trying to find a specific post in the future. :D

Hi, my name is Trudy - I'm new, and still trying to find where to post things as well. This may not be the right place.

I did introduce myself, and thank Shann for the gracious reply. I responded, but not sure if that is the way to do it. I've enjoyed working my way around the site.

My problem is that I have many things to share, and I want what God has taught me to be a blessing to others. But, I hesitate to share freely and open up my heart. I'm not sure how much of this is fear, shyness, and how much of this may be a caution to be careful.

I have started a memoir "Across 4 continents" or "Alphabet Soup" - but decided to leave it for now. I'm working on a novel "Watch the Star" a Christmas story about the journey along the Silk Route to find the new born king. I've also written some devotional material - BUT.

So I feel overwhelmed, a bit nervous, and not sure what direction to go. Thanks for any feedback folks may have

Sondra - thanks for letting me use your post to piggy back on. May the Lord richly bless you.

Trudy
