My church has a video of church members--myself not among them--making similar statments, including "I am the devil's enemy", "I'm loved", "I am justified", 'I am a chosen generation", etc.. It concludes with "I AM SOUND", because our church's name is Sound Chapel.

Praise God, all wonderful truths! So many times we need to be reminded of our new identity in Christ, and of His power available to us because of our position in Him. What an awesome Savior we have in Jesus!

Today I was finally able to purchase the Joseph Prince book you recommended. I've been receiving his daily devotionals via email and they have been encouraging. For the past several weeks I've also been studying this list of scriptures declaring who I am in Christ. I do believe God is working miraculously in my life through all of this. (You may not remember...I'm the one who responded to some Freedom in Christ info you sent out to everyone in a message. You were reading an message from me about how grateful I was at the same time your wife was editing one of my stories. Totally cool.) God is Good.

Hi Lollie,

I remember, thanks for the update. That is a great book.

I have been doing much more studying myself. The Bible says we are to worship God in spirit and truth. "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24

I believe we are worshipping in spirit and truth by walking in our identity in Christ. The true identity that the Bible tells us we have and not the lies satan wants us to believe. We need to take God at his word and believe we are righteous (right with God) in Christ just like God says. The entire list at the beginning of this forum topic applies.

I have added a few things to the freedom in Christ page on our Jesus page. http://faithwritersjesuspage.weebly.com ... iever.html
We have also had some great feedback from believers who have taken up the challenge too.

One in particular you may not have seen is http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1061 from Andrew Womack. Listen to these five free teachings on Hebrews.

Most believers would agree we are no longer under the old covenant. But most of us have been living as though we are not.

Living out the words in bold below is walking in spirit and truth. Walking in spirit and truth is believing God, the highest form of worship. John 4:16-18 …16We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. 18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.…

Thanks again for the great news update.

Blessings, Mike

Thanks! I'll be sure and check out the updates on the Jesus page later on today when I have a few extra minutes. And check out the audio on Hebrews.

I am a princess in the Kingdom of the King of Kings (but I often forget this and struggle with issues of self-esteem.)

This is how I introduce myself in Celebrate Recovery.

I love lists like this on who we are in Christ. When I struggle with self-esteem, I will post statements like these with their verses written out as my FB status for about 2 weeks at a time. Best counseling ever -- the Word of God.

Second Corinthians Five tells us that we have been made the righteousness of God in Christ. Ridiculous? I know the things I am capable of saying, of doing. And the Accuser slaps me across the back of the head. But I also read that in this unbelievable exchange of redemption Jesus Christ who knew no sin was made to be sin at Calvary. Equally ridiculous. I cling to this assertion and start to notice in small increments that things have changed; that I can see in increasing measure the bondage of the ways of the world and its advertised standard. People are hooked and saying ridiculous things that deny consequence or selfless compassion or eternal consequence. Recently I attended a funeral involving in-laws with a message from the pulpit that lacked any roadmap to eternal hope. It was pathetic and such a grievous lost opportunity. People shuffled out of that old building in a daze and still hopeless. Thank God that I have been GIVEN Gospel eyes and ears. The sometimes loneliness and persecution are mere hiccups. Hallelujah!
