Wow... fantastic pelican pictures! Limericks are hard... or maybe I'm just focusing all my creativity on my November novel (yes, I know that's not an original excuse! :)). I'm joining this discussion rather late, but I've enjoyed reading what everyone has written. Beautiful poetry! Before I make my weak little contribution, one quick comment on meter. If you love hymns, you may have noticed that hymnals often have metrical indexes in the back. You can choose a favorit...

I've been out of town a few days, and I'm so glad to see that the Master Class is back... even if it is about poetry this time! :) This really is going to be a stretch for me, but it'll be fun to try, anyway. Okay, here's my first attempt. I think it follows all the rules... maybe... Dull gray rainy...
