Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Was the kitten okay? A jackalope is an imaginary animal, looking like a jackrabbit with the antlers of an antelope on its head. It supposedly lives in the Southwest, and its cry sounds like a human baby crying. There are jokers who get a mounted jackrabbit head and stick a pair of antlers on it, in ...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

A few months ago, I bought a neti pot on sale at the grocery store. I've been using it from time to time, and it helps. But I can understand if someone is rather reluctant to run saline up their nose! In other news, my youngest sister informed me that my oldest niece, daughter of my younger sister, ...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

I had a really busy week (understatement of the year). Wednesday, I attended the first birthday party for my supervisor Narrah's son Owen; afterwards I vacuumed the fireside room --at church--where the party was held. That helped me for the next day. Thursday, I re-arranged my cleaning schedule at c...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

For sunburn, soak in a bathtub of lukewarm water to which you have dissolved a handful of baking soda, or have made a tubful of tea with about a dozen teabags. If all you have is a shower--like me--well, there's always aloe vera gel....

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Went to MySpace to make my final post, only to find they've completely changed the site. When you post, it's in huge letters; do they think their people are visually impaired or something? My posts are gone, as are everyone else's, along with comments, pictures, etc., though my picture of Tripod was...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

A little later on today, I'm going to make my last post on my blog on MySpace. I can't come up with anything, nobody reads it anyhow, it's been what, 6 years, and even though I love cats and wish there were more pet-friendly rentals--the original purpose of the blog-- it seems like I'm just regurgit...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Looking for a home, or just wishful dreaming? Ok I better start praying for everyone, Amy is out and now Shann is without comments. Leah is working too much (I know she needs it) just to get by on, and probably is taking the rest of her time for sleep. Becky is hiding out ( Iknow you are watching) ...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Things are getting crazy in my neighborhood. Saturday morning we heard a couple cars racing down the street that crosses ours, then we heard a pop. Two of my roomies, Becky and Cookie, have the front bedroom and a big window, and saw the cars blow through the stop sign; the first car was followed by...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

I'm beginning to wonder just how efficient the TSA is in stopping terrorism. I'm starting to remember an old anti-war protest song from the 60s--"Hey, hey, LBJ, how many kids did you kill today?"--referring to the average age of 19 of Vietnam War soldiers. Only I'd revise it to "Hey, hey, TSA, how m...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

What bugs me is a couple weeks ago was the season finale of Call the Midwife, and I didn't see any announcement that the season was over. Man, are TV seasons shorter in the UK! It seemed as if the season had just started and now all of a sudden it's over. :x

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

It was pouring yesterday morning; the couple I've been helping gave me the day off. Since the wife is a hoarder, a lady from her work has a ministry helping hoarders, and somehow she was going to help them with their stuff. I say somehow because the wife works all week, then does worship in our chur...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Wanna come to WNY Dee Jay and do mine for me? It is so nasty because I have been sick for so long and only have x amount of energy and by the time I'm done just picking up I don't have the energy to do the real cleaning. I used to joke that after Lyd left we would just blow up the house and start o...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Gee, it's too bad I don't have time to come down your way and clean your house for you--I would've done a much better job. I'm helping a couple in my church clean their place, and just to get ahead on the laundry alone they brought in another girl last Saturday. I work with them on Tuesday...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Say, Pup, a couple of questions on Doctor Who--if a woman becomes a Timelord, does that make her a Timelady? Does the Doctor get to choose where he goes in time, or is it completely random? I once saw a TV ad for Doctor Who--the Doctor was warning his crew to not touch a type of water that was surro...
