Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Thanks for dropping by Becky, Leah, and Rachel. Rachel I miss your blogs.

My CT scan with contrast went smoothly. I can't believe the nurse got a vein on first poke for the IV! Praise God!

Wheely.. Welcome back. Jay? That definately sounds like you. :| Yes, Pup, I'm a bobble head and of proud it! I've having a bloating / gas problem in my tummy. I think it's better but dr has a "nagging" feeling so now I have a CT scan tomorrow afternoon. Not the way I want spend the aft...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Howdy folks. We oriented 3 new nurses so things are looking up. I started Christmas shopping done yesterday and something for me, an R2-D2 bobble head, you know the little droid in Star Wars.

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

I can't, I burn within 10 minutes. My great-aunt passed away on September 20th. My grandpa is taking it very hard. My condolences. Upgraded to Windows 10 recently, and it has its pluses and minuses. Another thing--sometimes when scrolling, it goes too fast--like on here. Let us know after you've us...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Congrats on the new job, Pup! :o

I was going to submit my little story to the Challenge but discovered I ran out of credits.

I've been a lazy writer of late, just feel uninspired. Maybe I need to get my YA book published in an ebook. I shouldn't let that hold me back to do other writing projects.

Re: Be a Better Writer--BE A BETTER READER

I love reading and listening to books. Of course it's a difficult task to list 100 great books to read. I didn't even see A Tale of Two Cities or Treasure Island. Lilith is a pretty good book I'm listening to.

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Hey Jay, didn't you promise not to tell anyone I lost? :pirate2 Yeah, I know I'm messing with you. You promised not to mention my mixed metaphor. Bus Boss always slayed me at Word. I won a few games, but very few. Becky, I miss you so much. Come out and p, as more. I miss our daily chats. You all a...

Re: Be a Better Writer--KNOWING WRITING LINGO

Onomatopoeia has to do with words that are sounds is what I gather. A frog croaked in a pond and then it croaked in midair literally he died being a grandpa frog; he plopped in the water splash came a quacking mallard whosh went the wave pushing the frog away a large fish gulped up the frog

I beat Shann at Words With Friends and then she whomped me. Fun for all.
Well, Washington state is burning down, thousands of acres of forest. It's smoky and hazy out there.

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

I have too much stuff going on to even share it all. But, I was also sick one day last week, pretty sure it was the stomach flu but it only lasted 24 hours. I don't recommend it. I'm glad you're better, Becky and that it was only a day. Worked on my book. I have difficulty expanding scenes so I goo...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

I'm doing much better than the other day. Praise God! Thanks for your prayers. I had a good night's sleep, partly because I didn't use that "beany" body pillow behind my back. I get hot with all those plastic beans - beads. Getting more work done on my sci-fi novel; if I'm not writing it, I'm thinki...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

I use IE, too, but this doesn't happen when I'm on a computer with a broadband connection. I think that's the culprit. But I could check with Acer. Acer? there's your problem! Actually I don't really know; my friend had a problem with hers. Instead of thinking of coming to the Rest-Stop, I should j...
