Re: WHITESMOKE...an interactive program

I tried it but did not really get on with it. It annoyed me as for ages afterwards I could not seem to delete that particular programme.

Re: GRAMMARLY...anybody familiar with it?

Somebody who spelled my name wrong thought it mattered..... :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D I have spent my life telling people about my name because it is spelt Jackalyn in full and you do not get that here in England. In fact I think the three other people with the name are on my facebook, and I hav...

Re: GRAMMARLY...anybody familiar with it?

I used grammarly for a bit. The thing to remember is that it is just checking grammar, and to check out what it is correcting in terms of your writing. I prefer autocrit. However I just looked back at grammarly, and realised they do different things, so maybe they could be quite useful together. I o...

Re: Help! and may be important for UK co-op bank members

I do have paypal now again ( that also was messed up for ages.) I will look into paying with that. If I could just set up a standing order to faithwriters then that might resolve it. It does not seem there is an option for that though. The same thing has now happened with my website payments - and t...

Re: Help! and may be important for UK co-op bank members

I just have not been able to resolve this. I just cannot change banks and the same thing might happen. I guess this is the downside of having no credit cards and no overdraft type accounts. It still does not explain why the payment went through at times. Kinda disapointing.

Re: Help! and may be important for UK co-op bank members

My bank refuses to let the payment through unless I go in and ask them to open my account (meaning anyone who commits fraud could access it) for the relevant day....This month I made two trips to the bank and emailed checkout.com etc to tell them when to take the payment. I got no reply from anyone ...

Re: Help! and may be important for UK co-op bank members

Finally, a payment went through. I think what was happening was the bank were putting markers on to make the payment go through, but because they were only putting them on for 24 hours then by the time the company was taking the payment the bank was refusing it again because the marker had disappear...

Re: Help! and may be important for UK co-op bank members

Tried a different card from the same bank and it was the same problem. I could set up a standing order and try that? The person from the merchant bit did write but the bank say they will only allow the call centre number and that they have seen this before and it is definitely a problem with the sit...

Re: Help! and may be important for UK co-op bank members

No progress at all. I think the only thing I can do is sign up again using my other bank card but it could cause the same problem as it is the same type and bank. I went into the bank yesterday and they claim that NO claim was made on my card at all when they last put the mark on............... Now ...

Re: Help! and may be important for UK co-op bank members

Deb, The bank are now saying there is no reason at all from their side the payment should not have gone through and that the problem lies with the site. I have now spent a fair amount of time going into and talkng to the bank and also emailed Scott- no reply as yet. I am not able to use my paypal ac...
